Waters Family Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Buddy Waters in 2025. He began his career by earning his bachelor’s degree and then serving in the military before returning home to work in his father’s construction business. Recognizing the need for additional technical expertise, he enrolled in Greenville Technical Coilleg’s Building Construction Technology program to gain skills in engineering, estimating, and project management. He attended classes at night while working full time and raising a family. He credits GTC for playing a key role in his success and is committed to supporting ither hardworking students who are equally determined to succeed in the construction and engineering industries. The scholarship will provide a full scholarship for a student enrolled in the Construction Engineering Technology program with at least a 3.0 GPA. It is intended that one student will receive the amount needed to fund one full year of the program. Any funds in excess of this amount may be awarded to a 2nd student, if available. Preference will be given to a student who has received the award the previous year and has demonstrated a commitment to a career in the construction industry.
