The Marilyn Fund Scholarship

Kevin Van Romer gave this gift in memory of his mother, Marilyn Van Romer, to establish a fund to support students in nursing, culinary, and in skilled trades. Kevin has many interests, in particular, education, nursing, and skilled trades offered through technical colleges. .

Students eligible for this scholarship are those enrolled in certificate, diploma, degree, or vocational programs at the College. A student must maintain at least a “C” average or 2.0 GPA at the College, or from previous high school or college academic work if not previously enrolled at the College. The Committee may override this requirement for special circumstances. Preference will be given to students age 21 and over who have financial need as documented in the FAFSA. Additionally, preference will be given to students in the nursing, culinary, or skilled trades programs.
