Michael Thomason Endowed Scholarship

Michael Thomason, PhD, is a native of upstate, South Carolina. He worked as a computer engineer in industry in Baltimore for 5 years, then taught computer science and computer engineering at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville for 51 years. He was delighted to be at the UTK in 2009 when Dolly Parton received her honorary degree.

Students eligible for this scholarship are those enrolled in certificate, diploma, degree, or vocational programs at the College. A student must have and maintain at least a “C” average or 2.0 GPA at the College, or from previous high school or college academic work if not previously enrolled at the College. Preference will be given to students in the program for the Electronic Engineering Technology associate in applied science.
