Gilstrap Family Endowed Fund

Jake Gilstrap, born and raised in Pickens County, was a student at Greenville Technical College in the 1990’s and went on to run his parents’ company, A&A Fire Protection, LLC in Mauldin, SC. Gilstrap, a very devoted husband and father, is a Christian man who is filled with the Holy Spirit and motivated to help the less fortunate. Gilstrap is establishing this scholarship to help as many students as possible, especially those who are underserved, achieve, their dreams. He doesn’t want to just give money to a charity; he wants to leave a fingerprint on the College and make a real impact on people’s lives.

Students eligible for this scholarship are those enrolled in certificate, diploma, degree, or vocational programs at the College. A student mut have and maintain at least a “C” average or 2.0 GPA at the College, or from previous high school or college academic work if not previously enrolled at the College. For this scholarship, the Committee will give preference to students enrolled in CET and AET programs in the School of Engineering & Professional Studies and also those who may be underserved or marginalized.
