Thomas E. Barton, Jr. Endowed Scholarship

Named in honor of Greenville Tech’s former president and created by a gift from the Re-Elect Strom Thurmond Committee in 1990 with additional funds added from the proceeds of his retirement gala in 2008, this endowed fund provides tuition assistance for up to one academic year to a needy, deserving student who is a South Carolina resident majoring in the program of his or her choice. To remain eligible recipient must maintain a 2.0 GPA.
