Dolores and Bob Anderson Endowed Scholarship for Returning Students

Established in March, 2015 with a gift from Mrs. Delores Anderson in memory of her husband Bob, and in gratitude for the education she received at Greenville Technical College. Bob and Dodie were natives of the Midwest who moved to South Carolina in 1950 where Bob established a successful business, Anderson Hardwoods. After their youngest daughter started college, Dodie saw a GTC ad for classes for mature returning students. She took a class, then successfully pursued an associate degree and completed her formal education with a bachelor’s degree from USC-Spartanburg. Award for tuition assistance to non-traditional age students enrolled in a certificate, diploma, associate degree curriculum program of their choice who have been engaged since high school in activities such as raising families or working and thus have not had the ability to pursue higher education. Preference will be given to a student who is 40 years old or older. Minimum “C” average or 2.0 GPA required.
