Daniela Cortez Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund
he Daniela Cortez Memorial Fund was established to honor the memory of Rachel Rossmann’s daughter, Dani, who passed in 2016. Dani loved to bake and cook. She also was a compassionate soul who enjoyed helping others. This Fund will keep her spirit alive through scholarships at Greenville Tech, with the hope that future bakers and chefs, among others, will think of Dani as their angel benefactor. Students eligible for this scholarship are those enrolled in certificate, diploma, degree, or vocational programs at the College. A student must have and maintain at least a “C” average or 2.0 GPA at the College, or from previous high school or college academic work if not previously enrolled at the College. The Committee may override this requirement for special circumstances. For this scholarship, the Committee will give preference to students enrolled in the School of Engineering Technology & Professional Studies. Top priority will be given to students enrolled in degree or certificate programs through the Culinary Institute of the Carolinas. Additional preference will be given to students who identify as first-generation college students and who indicate they are part of a marginalized or underserved community.
