Greer Police Department Diversity Scholarship

This fund was established in December 2021 by the Greer Police Department, which strives to accurately represent and reflect the community that it serves. In order to accomplish this, a diverse workforce is desired, as the Greer community is made up of people who are from diverse backgrounds. Greer Police Department desires to assist in removing barriers from students who may increase diversity in the local law enforcement profession. This scholarship will be used to provide funds for students enrolled at Greenville Technical College with the career goal/pathway of local law enforcement. The scholarship may be used to pay eligible educational expenses for recipients, such as tuition, fees, books, and supplies. Successful applicants will have and maintain at least a “C” average or 2.0 GPA at the College or from prior high school of college academic work. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated experience in or commitment to working in historically underserved or socio-economically disadvantaged environments and populations.
