Jerry & Therese Denman Endowed Scholarship

Jerry & Therese (Teri) Denman have been part of the Greenville community since 2007. Jerry volunteers on various Greenville Technical College advisory councils and Teri has been a substitute teacher at Greer Middle College Charter High School for many years. Two of their daughters graduated from GMCCHS as well. They established this endowment because they believe the Greenville Technical College Charter high schools provide their students with an advantage as they prepare for their college experience.

Jerry and Teri are both first generation college students. They want this fund to benefit a first generation college student with the hopes that, as with Teri and Jerry, they can pass the legacy of a college education on to future generations. Students eligible for this scholarship must have and maintain at least a 2.0 GPA. Preference will be given to students who have successfully graduated from a Greenville Co. charter school, with particular preference to students who have graduated from a GTC-hosted charter school (Brashier Middle College, GTC Charter High School, Greer Middle College Charter High School).
