Ed McCallum Endowed Scholarship

This endowment was established Sept. 9, 2014 through a gift from Michelle McCallum in loving memory of her husband Ed McCallum. The scholarship is intended to go towards tuition, fees, books and supplies for a student going through the Quick Jobs program including the Medical Assistant Program at GTC’s EDCT when funds are not available through State funding channels (i.e., Workforce Pathways). If State funds are sufficient to support tuition needs of Quick Jobs participants, then funds should be used for scholarships benefitting DACA students with verified needs. Awards will be based on demonstrated financial need and recommendation from the appropriate program manager and/or instructor. The student must maintain a 2.0 GPA to remain eligible (if awarded for more than one term). In addition to applicants secured through the Foundation’s scholarship software, the scholarship administrator will seek input from the Hispanic Alliance for the names of potential applicants.
