Dr. Francis Henry Bledsoe Endowed Scholarship

The Dr. Francis Henry Bledsoe Endowed Scholarship Fund is a memorial fund established by his children in December of 2020. Education, learning, and self-improvement were Dr. Bledsoe’s lifetime quests. Likewise, the education of his children was of the utmost importance to him, and he provided them with excellent opportunities for learning. This scholarship was created so that others might also enjoy the benefits of education. Dr. Bledsoe was a radiologist for nearly twenty years with the Greenville Hospital System and he played a key role in the creation of the first ultrasound department in SC. This scholarship may be used to pay eligible educational expenses for recipients, such as tuition, fees, books and supplies. Students eligible for this scholarship are those enrolled in certificate, diploma, degree, or vocational programs at the College. A student must have and maintain at least at “B” average, or 3.0 GPA at the College, or from previous high school or college academic work if not previously enrolled at the College. Preference will be given to students enrolled in one of the following health sciences academic programs: Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Radiologic Technology.
